The team of JSC St. PetersburgHeatingGrid won the silver prize at the National Competition of Operative Teams of Heat Supply and Heat Network Companies, which took place with the support of the Ministry of Energy at the Stavropol Training Center of the Corporate Energy University on May 28-31, 2012.

For four days, the best heat energy engineers defended the honor of their companies at a training ground in Zheleznovodsk as they demonstrated the skills that they apply in their everyday work. The competition included six main stages. There was a test of knowledge of regulatory and technical documents and ability to identify any deviations from these documents. The competition participants made switches at heating networks under normal conditions and in emergencies, performed repair jobs on pipeline sections with and without lifting machinery, and provided first aid to injured persons.

By the results of the competition, the team of JSC St. PetersburgHeatingGrid won the silver prize with 1271 points out of 1350 possible and left behind the teams of JSC Lukoil-TTK, JSC Kamchatskenergo, and PLC Sibirskaya Generiruyushchaya Kompaniya (Siberian Generation Company). Sergey Dontsov, electrical welder of the repair department, was declared the best electric welder in Russia, and Sergey Gushcha, mechanic of the first operation district of JSC St. PetersburgHeatingGrid, was declared the best strapper.

This is the first time that the company took part in such a competition. "We made a successful start," said the head of the JSC St. PetersburgHeatingGrid team, Dmitry Degtyaryov. "In general, the level of the competition was very high, and judgment was absolutely fair.
